With the exhibition “Portrait of Diego by Frida”, today sees the light of another part of the archive that was announced in 2007 at the Blue House. At that time, the most important revelation that has been made at the Frida Kahlo Museum since the painter’s death in 1954 was announced. The Technical Committee of the Museum Trust Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo then presented a vast collection never before seen that was classified with the generous assistance of Dr. María Isabel Grañén Porrúa and Mr. Alfredo Harp Helú, through ADABI (Support for the Development of Archives and Libraries of Mexico, AC). The wealth of this collection was already guessed in a first exhibition that celebrated the centenary of the birth of the painter in 2007: “Treasures of the Blue House, Frida and Diego”.
